Premier esports and gaming organization DRX announced that on Monday, April 14th, DRX signed an MOU with Coupang at the DRX Seoul Tower in Mapo-gu, Seoul, to promote social contribution activities aimed at revitalizing esports for people with disabilities.
This agreement was held in anticipation of Disability Day (April 20th) and served as a meaningful moment that demonstrated the shared commitment of DRX and Coupang to fulfilling sustainable social responsibilities.
Through this MOU, the two companies plan to establish a growth-oriented partnership based on continued interaction, training, and mutual support between Coupang’s esports team for persons with disabilities and DRX’s professional esports rosters.
A Meaningful First Step Together at the DRX Seoul Tower

The DRX-Coupang MOU signing ceremony was held at the DRX Seoul Tower, with key figures in attendance, such as DRX’s CEO Sun Il Yang, Coupang’s Inclusive Management Team Leader Hwon Song, as well as the players and representatives from both parties.
The event brought together Coupang’s esports team for people with disabilities and DRX players from League of Legends, Tekken, and FC Online, sharing a heartwarming moment of mutual encouragement through commemorative photos and exhibition matches.
The event began with a 1v1 showdown between DRX League of Legends player Jinsung Park (Teddy) and Coupang’s Gyumin Kim, followed by matches featuring DRX Tekken player Jaemin Bae (KNEE) versus Coupang’s Jooyoung Lee, and finally DRX FC Online player Chanhwa Park (chan) against Coupang’s Hosung Kim. The players exchanged mutual respect for each other’s skills throughout the matches and displayed moments of meaningful connections.
The ‘Unbreakable Spirit’ - Facing Challenges Together Beyond the Boundaries of Disabilities

DRX views this MOU as the starting point for exploring and expanding social responsibilities and value in a sustainable way. The team’s core philosophy—“The Most Important Thing is an Unbreakable Spirit” (중꺾마)—resonates deeply with the unwavering passion of Coupang’s esports team, which continues to challenge itself in the face of physical limitations.
Through this partnership, DRX has once again reflected on the true essence and meaning of the word “challenge”. Going forward, the organization plans to pursue a wide range of CSR initiatives that extend beyond esports and generate positive social impact.
Shared Vision for Mutual Growth and Societal Impact
DRX’s CEO Sun Il Yang stated,
“Today signifies something more than just a signing—it’s the beginning of a joint journey to build an esports ecosystem where anyone can take on challenges, without limitations, in the spirit of 중꺾마 (Unbreakable Spirit).”
He continued,
“We hope to create an inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of ability, can freely participate. We look forward to joining hands with Coupang to bring about positive changes for all.”
Coupang’s Inclusive Management Team Leader Hwon Song also shared her thoughts, stating,
“Through this agreement, we hope to help unlock the potential of esports for people with disabilities and become an important milestone in promoting and spreading values of inclusion and diversity in our society.”
Through this MOU, DRX takes its first meaningful step toward championing the social value of esports, paving the way for an ecosystem where everyone can grow and challenge themselves together.
