DRX LeShar (Moonsup Shin) - a Street Fighter 6 professional gamer from premier esports & gaming organization, DRX - has claimed the Street Fighter 6 championship at EVO France 2025, held in Nice, France, from October 11th to 13th (local time). This victory marks LeShar’s first-ever EVO title and a historic milestone as he becomes the first player to win three Capcom Pro Tour (CPT) premier events in 2025.

World’s most prestigious fighting game tournament brand, EVO, expanded its tournament to France for the first time as EVO France 2025, and drew over 3,000 competitors from around the globe.

LeShar was among the competitors in the Street Fighter 6 category, and continued his remarkable success following his championships at COMBO BREAKER 2025 in May and CEO 2025 in June, ultimately triumphing once again at EVO France 2025. With these achievements, DRX LeShar has already secured his spot at Capcom Cup XII, set to be held in March 2026 in Japan.

EVO France 2025 hosted a total of 3,498 players competing across various titles, with 1,664 participants in the Street Fighter 6 category alone.

LeShar advanced to the Top 8 after a perfect run in the group stage without dropping a single set. In the upper bracket quarterfinals and semifinals, he defeated the legendary Japanese player Tokido, and a strong Japanese contender Kobayan, to secure his spot in the Grand Finals.

The tournament was held in a double-elimination format - a traditional format in FGC tournaments - and LeShar faced his Chilean rival and prodigy, the 15 year-old Blaz, who had previously blocked LeShar’s path to victory in Capcom Cup XI in March and EWC 2025 in August.

LeShar began the match using his signature character, Ed, quickly taking a 2-0 lead and appearing to sweep the series. However, Blaz quickly mounted a comeback to narrow the score to 2-1. At this point, LeShar made a surprising decision to switch to Elena - a newly introduced character in Street Fighter 6. While bold, this ultimately resulted in a series loss and forced a bracket reset. While there were concerns that history might repeat itself, Leshar remained unfazed and returned to Ed, where he displayed his dominance and ultimately defeated Blaz 3-1 to secure his first-ever EVO France 2025 Championship.

Meanwhile, DRX has firmly established its position as a global Top 10 esports organization, following outstanding performances throughout 2025. Just a week prior, the team displayed the strength of Korean FPS by finishing 3rd Place at VALORANT Champions Paris in Paris, France. Continuing this momentum, DRX capped off the year by excelling in one of the largest fighting game tournaments of 2025 - EVO France 2025. In addition to LeShar’s championship, DRX LowHigh (Sunwoong Youn) achieved 5th Place in the TEKKEN 8 category, demonstrating DRX’s world-class rosters across multiple titles and reaffirming its status as one of the most dominant and versatile esports teams in the world.
