Ahead of the LCK regular season, Kiwoom DRX's 'Ucal' Son Woo-hyun emphasized, "I want to consistently show a good performance on stage." Reflecting

on the LCK Cup in a recent interview, Son said, "Before the LCK Cup started, scrims went well, so I had expectations that I could show a better performance than last year," adding, "But once the tournament actually started, I made a lot of personal mistakes, and that was disappointing."

Ahead of this season, Kiwoom DRX recruited 'Willer' Kim Jung-hyun, 'Jiu' Jung Ji-woo, and 'Vincenzo' Ha Seung-min. In the LCK Cup, 'Willer' Kim Jung-hyun and 'Jiu' Jung Ji-woo started as the mainstays.

Son Woo-hyun explained his changed demeanor, saying, "I thought that if I played well, the team's results would naturally follow, rather than just following the roster. I didn't think much about it. But once we actually played games and adjusted during practice, my teammates performed better than I expected. It made me feel like we could really do well."

570386955d5f6.pngThe change for Kiwoom DRX is the addition of 'Joker' Jo Jae-eup as head coach. He actively utilized coach voice chat during the LCK Cup and received positive evaluations for his draft picks. Son Woo-hyun commented, "The head coach plays solo queue diligently. His skill level is close to Grandmaster, and he still displays form comparable to active players. His feedback is also different in terms of detail," adding, "He is good at addressing minute details, such as the players' mindset."

Son Woo-hyun, a former prospect for KT Rolster in 2017, is now a professional gamer in his ninth year. He predicted, "I don't feel like a veteran. I want to consistently show a strong performance on stage," and continued, "I think our team's caliber is comparable to that of the top tier. If we can fill in the minor details and solidify our team operations, I believe we can do even better."

Regarding areas he needs to improve in the LCK, Son Woo-hyun emphasized, "I have prepared a lot for this time and have high expectations. I need to speak up decisively when communication with my teammates breaks down," adding, "My goal this season is to demonstrate the efforts I have put in during the competition."
