just a couple of weeks away from the start of the 2025 VCT Pacific Kickoff, and teams are making the final adjustments ahead of the competition. DRX is trying to improve their performance with the addition of BeYN to the main team. We can still expect a few more roster changes in the next few days.
BeYN’s Return: A Familiar Face Rejoins the Fold
DRX has officially announced the return of Kang “BeYN” Ha-bin to their starting roster for the 2025 season. This move follows Na “Athan” Ha-jun’s decision to step down from the main roster and continue competing with DRX Prospects.
BeYN is familiar to DRX supporters, having joined the main roster in 2024 following several years of skill development with DRX Prospects. He took over Flashback early in the 2024 season, quickly demonstrating his value as DRX upheld its position as a VCT Pacific powerhouse. With BeYN on the roster, DRX achieved a second place rank in Stage 2 and concluded the season with an impressive top-six position at Champions. In spite of his contributions, BeYN was first let go following the season’s end as DRX aimed to reorganize for 2025. At this moment, his comeback indicates a revitalized dedication to utilizing his expertise and collaboration within the group.
Athan’s Journey and DRX’s Outlook for 2025
Athan, who joined DRX as part of their revamped roster for 2025, will shift to DRX Prospects after participating in several offseason events. While his tenure with the main roster was brief, he made a significant impact. Athan first appeared at the TEN Asia Invitational, where DRX overcame future champions Gen.G and secured third place. His presence also assisted them in achieving a top f4 finish in the Radiant Asia Invitational and SOOP Valorant League. Athan’s last appearance was with the DRX Changers roster at the Pacific Spotlight Series, where the team claimed third place.
