Kiwoom DRX secured a victory against Hanjin Brion in the second round of the 2026 LoL Champions Korea (LCK) regular season, held at LoL PARK in Jongno on the 17th. By defeating Hanjin Brion, who had been on a hot streak with five consecutive match wins in the second round, Kiwoom DRX also snapped their own three-game losing skid.

Early in Game 1, a skirmish sparked by 'Gideon' Kim Min-sung’s Raptor counter-jungle saw his Xin Zhao pick up a double kill, giving Kiwoom DRX an early lead. The rapid rotation of 'Casting' Shin Min-je’s Renekton caught Kiwoom DRX off guard. Hanjin Brion, led by 'Namgung' Namgung Seong-hun’s Bard, continued to force engagements to snowball their advantage. However, the momentum shifted when 'Willer' Kim Jeong-hyeon’s Lee Sin orchestrated persistent plays to secure kills in the mid and bottom lanes.

Hanjin Brion, feeling the pressure, wasted key ultimate abilities, which led to a loss in a crucial dragon teamfight, leveling the playing field. As the teams traded blows in a back-and-forth affair, a perfectly timed ultimate from Bard allowed Hanjin Brion to win a major teamfight and secure Baron. Having regained the lead, Hanjin Brion broke through Kiwoom DRX’s stubborn defense to take the first game.

In Game 2, Kiwoom DRX successfully struck back, with 'Willer's Vi at the center of the effort. Although 'Gideon's Nocturne succeeded in an early bottom-lane gank, Vi focused on jungle pathing, cleverly securing objectives to accelerate her growth. Leveraging this power, Kiwoom DRX won consecutive teamfights, claimed the Mountain Soul and Baron, and closed out the game with a gold lead exceeding 10k.

In the final third game, Hanjin Brion picked Elise as a support to seize early control of the bottom lane. However, Kiwoom DRX’s bottom lane held firm, and 'Ucal' Son Woo-hyeon’s Taliyah compensated for their lack of mobility, preventing Hanjin Brion from snowballing. Amidst a series of brawls, Kiwoom DRX won a decisive teamfight while 'Roamer' Jo Woo-jin’s Viktor was absent, allowing them to rush Baron. Kiwoom DRX remained the more composed side in subsequent skirmishes, adding more kills to their tally.

Hanjin Brion breathed a sigh of relief after winning a fight ahead of Kiwoom DRX’s Soul point. However, in an overly aggressive attempt to defend their Baron, they lost their bottom duo and conceded the Baron buff. Having secured the Hextech Soul, Kiwoom DRX pressured the mid and bottom lanes simultaneously. They dismantled the inhibitor turrets, picked off Hanjin Brion’s members one by one, and finished the match with an ace.
